Summer 2016

My (awesome) students, Emily and I have a fabulous research lab. This summer (2016), we are busy deconstructing some aspects of collaboration and interprofessional education. The Paradis(e) lab includes:

Patricia (Patti) J. Leake. She is studying research capacity building for midwifery in Ontario, contributing to the refinement of Witz' theory of professional closure using intersectionality theory.

Umesh Poopalarajah will use ethnographic methods to study interprofessional collaboration in tertiary care settings, with an emphasis on interprofessional rounds. This summer he is helping code Canadian reports on IPE.

Rebecca Zhao joins us for the summer from the Department of Psychology. She will conduct an interview study as part of the CanMEDS Knowledge Project (PIs: Ayelet Kuper; Alison Thompson).

Emily M. Hill continues to support the activities of our lab and enriches our days with humour, witticism, and her out-of-the-box thinking.
